Deepak Chahar, right-arm medium-pace bowler and lower-order batsman playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2020 reported that he would have missed the beginning of the IPL 2020 if it had started on 29th March.

2019 was a splendid year for Deepak Chahar, as he made a great impression in the Indian Cricket Team especially in the T-20Is on 11th December 2019. Though, an injury on 18th December 2019 throughout the home ODI series against West Indies enforced a 27th year old out of action and missed the subsequent Australia ODIs and the tour of New Zealand.

Now, he is practising more and more to regain fitness to claim for his spot in the upcoming team for the T-20 World Cup to achieve success.

On account of Corona Virus, cricketing action is paused all over the world. Deepak thinks that perhaps he could recover and regain in this unfortunate break. He feels the break will work in his favour as his participation in the IPL 2020 which was to be held in 29th March was in doubt. Now matches are being postponed until 15th April.

The 27th-year-old quoted:

On the personal front, this (coronavirus problem) will give me extra time to get back on the track. If IPL had started on time, there was a possibility I would have missed out on a few initial games.

Deepak Chahar had been recovering in Bengaluru at the NCA (National Cricket Academy). However, it is now closed due to Corona Virus by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Though, Deepak has ordered fundamental gym kit at his home to recover and regain.

Deepak has shown excellent performance in many tournaments for India up till now. Furthermore, he has dramatically improved in the last bowling overs. He bowls the toughest overs. So far, he has only picked 17 wickets in the 10 T20i matches.

The brilliant Rajasthan pacer will be eager to make it to the T20 World Cup squad later this year.
