Meanwhile, Poonam shared her opinion about the Women IPL and also revealed which IPL team she would love to be a part of. As till now, BCCI is just restricting the IPL to male cricketers. After Mumbai Indian, Chennai Super Kings is the most consistent team in the history of Men’s IPL. They have won the title three times. Earlier they also served two years of prohibition in 2016 and 2017, but in 2018 they came back to win the title, under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
If things were normal, then CSK was supposed to face Mumbai Indians in the opener match of IPL 2020. Which was scheduled to commence on March 29. But the league has been postponed till April 15 due to Covid-19 Coronavirus.
What is the status of IPL 2020?
Earlier the 13th edition of Indian Premier League was scheduled to get underway on March 29. The defending champions Mumbai Indians were supposed to take on former champions Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. But now the whole tournament has been postponed to April 15 due to the outbreak of the COVID-19.
But still, the final decision on IPL 2020 will be taken on March 24 as IPL franchises and BCCI will have a conference call on this Tuesday to discuss the possible prospects and further way of IPL 2020.
Moreover, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said that “The IPL 2020 will surely take place as we decided with stakeholders. But still, there is a probability of making it shorten one.
