A Calm and Composed Ajinkya Rahane Interview After a Heroic Win Against Aus at Gabba

In his latest interview Ajinkya Rahane Said, it was an extraordinary journey from Adelaide to Brisbane. It was challenging to do captaincy after the humiliation of getting out on 36. We knew that the Virat Kohli went back to India; after that, we reunited as a team and performed well in Melbourne.

The credit must go to everyone. We knew that we played the first two days of the first test, only one hour we didn’t play well. Moreover, we didn’t look back. In Melbourne, we played session by session, and Australia was in a good position, but we knew that we must need partnership.

The story of Melbourne Test 2020/21

It was a pressure situation in Melbourne; I just enjoyed the moment while   Batting; therefore, I could score runs. After the match, people said that it was my best century, but I feel that the Lords century was my best century.

In addition to this, When I dropped from the team being the vice-captain, I never got hurt. As for me, always, the nation comes first.

The 2001 test match at Calcutta was really great, and I was a kid at that time. The Sydney 2021 test match was also so great as we learnt that we should not give up in any situation.

The physiotherapist Nitin Patil did a fantastic job. He had provided the daily updates of the injured player as well he looked after playing eleven. Motivated us so much as Ajinkya Rahane said during the interview.

He also emphasised that they never want any injury occurred to any player because it felt so bad for the player it doesn’t matter that the injured player is important or not.

He mentioned Rishab Pant that he is a fearless player and told him to play your natural game. The opponent always on back foot till he is on the crease.

He further said this team belongs to Virat Kohli as captain and me as vice-captain. We both always want the betterment of the team.
