Rohit Sharma named Shubman Gill as the future of Indian cricket

Shubman Gill

During the latest conversation between the legend spinner Harbhajan Singh and Mumbai Indian’s skipper Rohit Sharma, named Shubman Gill as the future of Indian cricket.

Shubman Gill was an important batsmen for India’A’ team due to his high scoring performance. His master blaster innings let him promoted into the Indian national side.

Also, Gill grabbed the attention during his wonderful innings played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019. This 20-year-old young man took the public attention during the U19 World Cup win in 2018 .

“Shubman Gill Gill is a very fluent batsman. I think he is India’s future. I feel when he gets chances, if he scores runs, he will get that confidence. Now he doesn’t know when he’ll play. He’s done well in the domestic circuit, I think we should get him into the team,” Rohit stated on Gill’s place in the senior side.

“Good to see that Prithvi Shaw was backed and brought back in the team. But I feel when you were not available, they should have gone with Shubman. I feel this is not healthy for him or the team. They need to give him a chance, and the same case applies to any other youngster,” Harbhajan said.

After a horrifying defeat in the Wellington Test match against New Zealand, Kohli the skipper of India was planning to make a space for Gill in Indian lineup, to strengthen and give boost to the batting lineup.

Instead, Kohli played the match with the same defeated lineup. Unfortunately, India was whitewashed in the two-Test match series. However, Gill got the single change during ODIs against the New Zealand in the last season in 2018.
