The BCCI has officially announced that the 14th edition of Indian Premier League’s mini-auction would be held in Chennai on February 18. But still, there are some doubts about the venue.
Moreover, the board is open to hosting the tournament again in UAE because last year due to coronavirus pandemic, IPL was held in UAE and it was the most successful tournament.
After the Auction, the venue for hosting the tournament will be more clear. India always the top priority, but the logistics need to be checked.
BCCI has also signed an MoU and hosting agreement with Emirates Cricket Board in September.
Everyone wants that Fans back in the stadiums and the priority is to conduct the tournament across India. A call on the venue will depend on the Covid pandemic situation in the country.
